Food Security

Food security efforts are based on ensuring the creation and implementation of conservation and sustainable management systems that sustain our means of living through the application of more resilient production methods and regulatory frameworks for industries that maintain an impact on food security and the products generated by the domestic industry.

The establishment of new agro-ecological production hectares, provides multiple benefits to raise productivity in the region through increased and improved volumes, product diversification and modernization of production processes; improving their levels of resilience to climatic threats of climate change and planning to react to emergency situations.

Fish industry prioritized in the Region and the world, is a fundamental activity in the Conservation Coast. It is part of the actions managed by local organizations that also includes training and implementation of regulations based on Community agreements, to integrate improvements throughout the production chain of the fisheries in the Atlantic, supporting local food security and the development of the national fish industry.
